DR. KOBY APPIAH-SAKYI

Dr. Koby Appiah-Sakyi is the President of Africa Medical Tourism Council. Dr Koby is also an Associate Professor of medicine, a consultant in Gynecology and Obstetrics. He completed his specialist training in the United Kingdom. He worked as a consultant and senior physician for close to a decade. Dr Appiah has had 30 years working experience in various parts of the world, including the United Kingdom, Middle- East and Ghana.
Dr. Appiah Sakyi is currently a Consultant Gynecologist & CEO of Britannia Medical Centre and Ghinger Healthcare, and co-founder of Devdex Software.
EMMANUEL FRIMPONG
VICE PRESIDENT
Emmanuel Frimpong is the Vice President of Africa Medical Tourism Council, a Tourism and Hospitality Consult and Analyst. He is also a Lecturer at Hotel, Catering and Tourism Training Institute (HOTCATT). He is the Founding President of Africa Tourism Research Network (ATRN). He is the CEO of Pishon Consult Ltd and President and Founder of People of Purpose (youth focused NGO). Emmanuel is also the Country Chair for Global Goodwill Ambassadors Foundation. He is also the country representative of West Africa Ecotourism Network (WAEN) and West Africa Tourism Organisation (WATO). He is also the Greater Accra Regional Chair of Institute of Hospitality (IH), a proud member of the Golden Awards Committee of Afro Asian Union (AFASU) and Honorary Director General for African Continent for Global Alliance for Ecotourism and Sustainable Tourism (GAEST). Emmanuel is the Country Head of Pan African Heritage Museum (PAHM) and sits on the International Board of the same.
Mr. Frimpong is a CBT Curriculum Development Expert, an international board member of Sayari Dunia Sustainable Tourism Foundation and several other committees and boards. He is a member of the Global Agritourism Network (GAN) and on the its policy and advocacy committee, a Global Ambassador for Tourism Education and Research at the Africa Tourism Board. Mr Frimpong is also Patron of the Ghana Association of Tourism and Hospitality Students (GATHS) and Board Member of Kids in Tourism. Emmanuel was recently inducted into the Humanities Chamber of Commerce as the Most Influential Tourism Development Expert of 2023. He is the immediate past Executive Secretary of Ghana Tourism Federation (GHATOF).
Mr. Frimpong holds an MBA (Corporate and International Finance) from the University of Leicester UK, Executive Masters in Tourism Management (Still pending from University of Cape Coast), BA (Hons) Soc. Sci (from the KNUST), Diploma in Hospitality Management and many other certificates. Emmanuel is passionate about youth entrepreneurship, development, ethical, responsible and sustainable travel and tourism in Africa. He is a regular guest on TV, radio and an international conference speaker.
CHARLES D. ANTWI
BOARD MEMBER
Charles D. Antwi, is a Board Member of Africa Medical Tourism Council and a corporate attorney with over 30 years experience. He has a wide range of corporate experience spanning banking, hotel, healthcare and real estate development. He is a graduate of the University of Ghana and has an MBA in Organizational Change and Development from the Regent University School of Business, Virginia Beach USA.
Mr. Antwi has decades of experience in the hospitality and healthcare sectors. He serves on the board of several organizations including The Africa Partners Medical, Ghana; Wish4Life Ghana; The Navigators of Ghana and Bethel Dental Ghana.
Appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Botswana in 2013, Mr. Thomas Okyere is the country representative of a Turkish international NGO Tarimkon an organization which acts in the field of agriculture, food and sub-industry related to these sectors by supply, demand, consultancy and joint consultation with project owners under a single roof.
Mr. Okyere has been instrumental in developing the activities of Tarimcon on the continent mainly in the West African and Southern African Development Community groups. Now a board member of the international group in Turkey
Mr. Okyere is the founder and CEO of Helgard Group of Companies, a conglomerate established in 1994 with subsidiaries in the hospitality industry and business development/ logistics of the Ghanaian Oil and Gas sector.
His success came from his devotion to encouraging the private sector to create new links, expand the dialogue on African and global issues and continuously identify new areas of collaboration.
His Civic Activities include serving as Treasurer and Executive Member of Ghana Honorary Consular Corps (since 2015), Member of the SADC Heads of Mission Association. Thomas is a director of Furler Architects, of Sir Tobby’s company, Agrico, Grobest fertilizer and Pharaosoft Ghana.
Mr. Okyere’s humanitarian activities includes his work as a co-founder and Director of Vineyard Church and Shepherd’s Heart (NGO) which is responsible for the operations of an orphanage, Youth and Rural development also involved in creating and developing projects for the assistance of street children advocating social inclusion and continuously striving to strengthen the respect of human rights while abiding the rule of law.
